Harvest!

Mom, look how many tomatoes I pulled out of the garden today! I had kind of given up on the garden because I hadn't had time to keep watering it, but when I went out to do some yard work today I realized that lilacs that had grown over the top of a cherry tomato vine had worked like a natural cloak, and that there were at least two dozen tomatoes in there.
Lili has had maybe eight of them so far, and we cut them and put a handful into the pizza we just made for dinner. Yum!
My mom did so much to help me put the garden in this year, and I know she was disappointed that the beefsteak tomatoes didn't really come in. So I wanted her to see that all our hard work did pay off.
