How do you store your records, movies, etc?

Dear fellow collectors,
How do you store your records, DVDs, etc? Do you have shelves made just for the medium? Are there shelves that hold LPs that are commonly available? Do you use a computer to keep track of your collection? Do you keep them on the shelf in alphabetical order? If not, what other system do you use?
