The Kansas City Star said today that a grand jury had indicted three Johnson County businesses with obscenity. Two of the businesses were accused of selling obscene DVDs. Setting aside the question of what makes a DVD criminally obscene, the third indictment involved a Halloween store that "displayed adult costumes in places where minors could view them."
Is it pervy to wonder what kind of costume could be so sexually explicit that you couldn't even show the box on the shelf? Will those who bought this costume be monitored and arrested if they wear it "where minors could view them?" Was it sitting anywhere near the "chansaw maniac" or body bag costumes? Thank God those aren't illegal.
P.S.Marc found both the inditement and pictures of the costumes and has them on his website. I can't believe a blow-up snake coming out of your crotch endangers minors but see for yourself and judge. Thanks Marc.
